National Trust Seating at Birling Gap

This beautiful bench seating was commissioned by the National Trust for its cafe and information centre at Birling Gap in East Sussex.  

The 25mm thick oak seating was crafted to fit onto existing supports on the top of gabions.

It has been treated with a clear preservative to help withstand the elements at its exposed coastal location.

We prepared a template for the joinery and carefully removed the old seating and set aside for re-use by the National Trust elsewhere.
